People browsing the Microsoft Edge extensions store recently noticed some strange listings on the service. Downloads for Mario Kart 64, Super Mario Bros., Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Pac-Man, Tetris, Cut The Rope, and Minecraft had made their way to the store, and they obviously weren't listed by the rights holders for each property.
It seems these listings somehow slipped under the radar with Microsoft, which is how they got added to the store in the first place. Now that Microsoft is aware, they've removed almost all the illegal listings. Microsoft will no doubt be policing the situation much more closely as they move forward.
